Vertical Pole Studio fitness classes are designed for everyone, regardless of age, shape or fitness level. You’ll receive a total body workout, while dancing that will leave you feeling empowered as you work toward your fitness goals. Get stronger and build confidence! We offer classes that let you focus on what you most want to get out of the instruction, whether it’s dance or fitness. Whichever class you choose, you’ll get a workout unlike anything else you’ve tried.

General Disclaimer: It is our goal to meet the specific needs of our students at Vertical Pole Studio in each of your classes. Please understand the importance of building strength and stamina while using proper technique is essential to your safety and continued growth. 


POLE CLASSES – LEVEL SYSTEM Intro to Pole thru Level 5
Intro to Pole and Intro to Spin Pole are REQUIRED classes. You must attend a minimum of 3 to 5 of each class, and have Instructor approval to move into any Level 1 class. DO NOT sign up for any level 1 or above classes without first attending the required INTRO classes. If you ahve attended training at another facility, you must email kasey@vpolestudio.com to get approval on attending any Level 1 or above class. INTRO TO POLE (Static)

Ready to begin your Pole Fitness journey? This is your first step! This class includes a warm-up, core strengthening, and a cool-down with flexibility stretches. In this pole fitness class you will learn the fundamentals of pole dance technique & strength training. We recommend a student take this class a minimum of 3 to 5 times, Instructor approval is needed to move up to Level 1 Pole classes.

From walking around the pole, to basic spins and floor work. The class will highlight body alignment, and confidence-building through body awareness and technique. This class is designed to introduce students to the pole and to the range of moves that can be performed with time and practice. You will walk away with all you need to join our Level 1 beginner level classes. Attention is also given to building upper body strength and flexibility all of which contribute to gaining pole skills. You can see for yourself what everyone else is talking about! It will definitely leave you wanting more. We recommend a student take this class a minimum of 3 to 5 times.

EXPERIENCE: No experience required.

INTRO TO SPIN POLE

The Spinning Pole is an art and skill unto itself! A Spinning Pole is unlike the standard (static) pole because it rotates freely on bearings at the top and bottom. This means, the pole will move and spin with you while you dance. This class will teach you the foundations of dancing with a spinning pole. Explore the unique elements of dance that the spinning pole allows you to express.
Ready to begin your Spin Pole journey? This is your first step! We recommend a student take this class a minimum of 3 to 5 times, Instructor approval is required to move up to Level 1 Pole classes.
This class includes a warm-up, core strengthening, and a cool-down with flexibility stretches. Level 1 BEGINNER POLE FITNESS (STATIC & SPIN)

Once you’ve taken Intro to Pole classes, move on to Level 1 BEGINNER POLE FITNESS! In this pole class you will focus on good form, technique and building strength on both sides for Level 1 pole moves, spins, floorwork, and transitions. We recommend you take Intro to Pole classes 3 to 5 times, to move into Level 1 Beginner Pole Fitness. If you have had prior training in a different facility you must get approval by an instructor to take this class. In this pole class you will take what you’ve learned in your Intro to Pole classes and bring it to the next level. You won’t only have a great time but you will get an amazing cardio, strength training, and full body workout. Learn how to combine spins, and move smoothly up and down and all around the pole. You will build your strength to prepare you for Level 2 Beginner Pole class. You will need permission from your instructor before you move into our Level 2 classes.

Level 2  BEGINNER POLE FITNESS (STATIC)

This class is designed for the student who has attended a minimum of 2 months of Level 1 Beginner Pole Fitness. In this class you will learn the proper techniques, conditioning and drills to learn how to achieve a basic climb & basic invert successfully. This class will prepare you for our upper level classes. You will focus on mastering beginner pole moves, combination spins, transitions, and flowing them together flawlessly. Classes begin with a thorough warm up and conditioning segment and followed with a thorough cool down. Bare legs are required as part of the class requires gripping of the pole with the legs. If you have had prior training in a different facility you must get approval by an instructor to take this class. This pole class was created to teach you everything you need to know in order to progress to our Level 3 Intermediate Pole Fitness class. Your journey of Pole is now getting off the ground! You will need permission from your instructor before you move into Level 3 classes.

EXPERIENCE: Level 1 Beginner Pole

Level 3 INTERMEDIATE POLE FITNESS (STATIC)

After Level 2 Beginner Pole Fitness, challenge yourself with this Level 3 Intermediate class. Here you will learn inverted moves and work on putting moves together in combinations. Only for students who have completed a minimum of 2 months in Level 2 Beginner Pole Fitness. If you have had prior training in a different facility you must get approval by an instructor to take this class. You will learn more pole moves including a variation of pole climbs, intermediate spins, straddle inverts and how to link them all together in a seamless, fluid flow. Students will strengthen and polish moves and spins already learned in the beginner level classes. Classes begin with a thorough warm up and conditioning segment and followed with a thorough cool down. Bare legs are required as part of the class requires gripping of the pole with the legs. You will need permission from your instructor before you move into Level 4 classes.

EXPERIENCE: Level 2 Beginner Pole

Level 4 INTRO TO ADVANCED POLE FITNESS (STATIC)

Only for students who have completed a minimum of 2 months in Level 3 Intermediate  Pole Fitness. If you have had prior training in a different facility you must get approval by an instructor to take this class. This class is for those who feel confident in combining spins, climbs and sits and are transitioning into aerial tricks and inverts. At this level, you will build on the techniques you learned in previous levels and start conditioning your muscles to aerial invert, shoulder mount, and perform tricks safely off the ground. Classes begin with a thorough warm up and conditioning segment and followed with a thorough cool down. Bare legs are required as part of the class requires gripping of the pole with the legs. You will need permission from your instructor before you move into Level 5 classes.
EXPERIENCE: Level 3 Intermediate Pole

Level 5 ADVANCED POLE FITNESS (STATIC)

Advanced Pole Fitness, here you come! This class is filled with climbs, inversions, high flying pole tricks, more difficult inversions and powerful spins combos, more intense strength training to build your strength, abs, core and upper body.. Only for students who have completed the Level 4 Intro to Advanced Pole Fitness checklist and can demonstrate the required moves. If you have had prior training in a different facility you must get approval by an instructor to take this class.

EXPERIENCE: Level 4 Intro to Advanced Pole 

WHAT TO WEAR: Tank top, sports bra, and form-fitted shorts. 


POLE’OGRAPHY
*Must have taken at least 3 INTRO TO POLE classes first. We recommend between 3-5 times.

In Pole’Ography, you will learn a unique, stylized pole routine designed to increase your pole movement vocabulary while also focusing on musical and emotional connectivity. This class strives to improve your sense of musicality, lines, and expression with the use of dynamic and contrasting movement on the pole. Learn to combine moves into one beautiful flowing piece, while most importantly adding your own individuality!
EXPERIENCE: Intro to Pole 
WHAT TO WEAR: Tank top, sports bra, and form-fitted shorts.

RECOMMENDATIONS: Leg warmers & knee pads.


Level 1 SPINNING POLE
*Must have taken at minimum of 3 INTRO TO SPIN POLE classes first. We recommend between 5 times.

Forget the stationary bikes! This spinning class is all about the pole! Come learn the fundamentals of the spinning pole. Heels are recommended but not required. The dynamics of this class will challenge both beginning and advanced students alike! If you have had prior training in a different facility you must get approval by an instructor to take this class.

EXPERIENCE: Intro to Pole 
WHAT TO WEAR: Tank top, sports bra, and form-fitted shorts, Heels welcome but not required.


Level 1-5 SLOW & SEXY POLE FLOW
*Must have taken at least 3 INTRO TO POLE classes first. We recommend between 3-5 times.

There is no law against being a little sexy. Have a desire to be more sensual? Then ladies, this is a class for you. Leave all your inhibitions at home and join us for a full hour of slow and sexy dance. You will learn low on the pole movements, floorwork, basic shoulder rolls and how to link them together for a slow & sexy pole flow. Static or Spin mode option, instructor's choice. This pole class includes a more sensual warm-up, and a cool-down with flexibility stretches.

EXPERIENCE: Intro to Pole 
WHAT TO WEAR: Tank top, sports bra, and form-fitted shorts. Heels welcome but not required.

RECOMMENDATIONS: Leg warmers & knee pads.


Level 1-5 FREESTYLE POLE FLOW

​*Must have taken at least 3 INTRO TO POLE classes first. We recommend  between 3-5 times. 

Freestyle dancing is a great way to develop your skills as a dancer, focus on perfecting your moves, and a fantastic way to burn mega calories! Develop your own personal style and the ability to flow effortlessly from one move to the other. Each week, your instructor will have a playlist of songs and a move or combo as a focal point to add into your freestyle dance. At the end of class, you can (optional) video your "performance", to help yourself grow as an artist and dancer. Part of this class is self directed, allowing you to find your own flow and style.

(Video policies still apply. No videos with other students in the frame are allowed to be posted without permission)

Each class will begin with a thorough warm up and end class deep stretches.

EXPERIENCE: Intro to Pole 

WHAT TO WEAR: Tank top, sports bra, and form-fitted shorts. Heels welcome but not required. 

RECOMMENDATIONS: Leg warmers & knee pads. 


OPEN PRACTICE
Come and practice your aerial and pole moves in the studio.  60 minutes co-ed. Must be current student OR be evaluated and approved by staff member. No inversions or moves you aren't already proficient at.

THIS IS NOT A CLASS, AN INSTRUCTOR IS NOT PRESENT FOR SPOTTING OR TEACHING.
