If you have attended another training facility you must email kasey@vpolestudio.com to get approval or schedule a 30 minute "WELCOME Private Lesson) Our Mindbody system will not allow students to sign up without being approved to do so. We encourage students to wear clothing that covers the backs of their knees and torso for all aerial classes, other than pole. This will help avoiding burns caused by friction with the fabric or hoop.

LYRA/AERIAL HOOP

Aerial Hoop (also called Lyra) is a steel circle connected by one point to the ceiling. It is a classic and beautiful circus apparatus that can create a type of frame around the performer. In Aerial Hoop classes you’ll learn a variety of ways to get on and off the apparatus, postures and transitions inside, below, and eventually, above and around the outside of the hoop, as well as spinning techniques. Aerial Hoop students develop control and confidence when they train consistently. Ages 15+

Note: We require students to wear clothing that covers the legs, torso and arms for all aerial classes, other than pole. This will help avoiding burns caused by friction with the fabric or hoop.

AERIAL SILKS

Aerial Silks (also called Aerial Fabric) is a special strength-tested fabric that hangs in two long tails from a single rig point at the ceiling. This apparatus was first made popular by Cirque du Soleil, and is known for its drama and striking visuals. In Aerial Silks classes you will learn how to climb, invert on the fabric, create beautiful shapes and wraps, and eventually, as you progress, learn dramatic drops, dives, and flips in the air. Aerial Silk students develop strength and grace quickly when they train consistently. Ages 15+

Note: We require students to wear clothing that covers the legs, torso and arms for all aerial classes, other than pole. This will help avoiding burns caused by friction with the fabric or hoop.

AERIAL SLING

Aerial Sling (also called Hammock) is the same material as Aerial Silks, but rigged from a single point with a loop at the bottom. This is the same apparatus we use in the NBYS Aerial Yoga classes, but in Aerial Sling classes the loop is set higher from the ground. In Aerial Sling classes you will learn various ways to mount and dismount the apparatus, how to invert and support yourself on the fabric, and as you progress, you’ll learn dramatic drops, dives, and spinning sequences. Aerial Sling students develop core strength quickly when they train consistently. Ages 15+

Note: We require students to wear clothing that covers the legs, torso and arms for all aerial classes, other than pole. This will help avoiding burns caused by friction with the fabric or hoop.

OPEN TRAINING

Come and practice your pole & aerial moves in the studio. $25 for non-members $10 for Monthly Members or Unlimited Member. Recommend skills: A minimum of 6 weeks or prior pole instruction or instructor approval.
Open Training sessions are for anyone that would like to have additional non-instructor led studio time. Open pole & aerial allows extra studio time for students to practice what they have learned and mastered in class. It can also serve as extra time to dance or film what you have learned. No pole inverting, top of the lyra movement or silks drops are allowed without prior instructor approval. No pole tricks, aerial tricks, sequences or transitions will be allowed without approval from an instructor. This is for movement you have learned in class and are working to progress and master.
Students are not allowed to instruct other students. A crash mat will be used at all times when needed.

This is not a class, you will not be learning anything new.
